Product Information
Respisense Buzz™ Breathing Effort and Movement Baby Monitor is the latest technology in Baby Monitors giving parents an early warning of irregularities in baby breathing effort. Respisense Buzz™ simply clips onto the waistband of your baby's nappy then quietly and unobtrusively monitors baby's breathing efforts while asleep. It triggers an alarm if your baby stops or appears to stop breathing
The new Respisense Buzz™ model has the built-in TummyTickle™ feature that attempts to stir baby to resume breathing before sounding the alarm. This gentle, proactive stimulation is a world first, and works by way of gentle tactile stimulation that mimics the efforts of nurses in neonatal wards. When all breathing movement ceases a increasing volume alarm will sound.
Because babies don't always sleep in their cot or bed, Respisense Buzz™ was designed to be completely portable. No other baby monitor allows the freedom of movement and safety in design coupled with the proactive response that Respisense Buzz™ does. It can be used practically anywhere baby may fall asleep - in a cot, on a picnic blanket or on grandmother's lap. Co-sleeping babies, such as twins or triplets in one cot or babies in need of special care can now be monitored safely while sharing a bed or lying right next to mother. Respisense Buzz™ can also easily be used in any hammock-style sleeper, where traditional monitors cannot work. It is simply the most portable and convenient instrument for monitoring baby's breathing efforts.
- Respisense Buzz™ works regardless of baby's position whilst sleeping
- Can be used in Cot Beds, Air beds, Cribs, Travel Cots, Moses Baskets, Cradles or Blankets
- Build in Tummy Tickle™ can gently stir baby to breathe again
- Perfectly portable for "use anywhere"
- Battery will last for up to 12 months
- Isolated from most external movements
- Uses NO cables, wires or plug connections
- Can be used by infants sharing a cot (e.g. twins)
- Can be used by babies sharing a bed with parent
- Weight just 32g (1oz)
The super-safe, perfectly portable and proactive Respisense Buzz™ baby monitor with built in stimulator allows parents to enjoy their babies while still allowing peace of mind and freedom of movement, at home...at day care...out and about...on Grandmother's lap...even while sleeping with parents.
Respisense Buzz™ baby monitor is recommended as a parenting aid for babies aged 0-12 months, particularly during their most vulnerable 6 or 8 months, to alert parents to possible health threatening events associated with a cessation in breathing movements.
About Respisense Buzz™
Respisense Buzz™ was designed by a father and extensively tested on his own triplets for more than 2 years. By eliminating the hazards inherent in traditional designs, these uniquely shaped monitors were designed to be the world's smallest safest. Respisense has no cables that can strangle a baby, no straps that can constrict blood circulation to hands or feet, and no mains connections that could wear and cause electrocution or start fires. There aren't even removable batteries to replace that could create choking hazards.
The special high-capacity, feather-light batteries used by the Respisense Buzz™ allow up to a year's use, and could therefore not even need to be replaced during the first 6 to 8 months that babies are most at risk. The safety of the Respisense Buzz™ monitor is further enhanced by sealing the batteries inside the unit, protected from inquisitive explorers and preventing babies from chewing or choking on spent batteries. These eco-friendly power sources can be replaced by the manufacturer at a very reasonable fee for parents wishing to pass their monitors on or use them for subsequent children.
Medical testimonial
"I certify that I have been using three "Respisense" devices as apnoea monitors on some ex pre term infants in pre-dismissal phase, who were recovering in the sub-intensive area located in the department directed by myself. It was compared with the so-called "pulsiossimetro" monitoring system normally used in case of need.
From our experience we can confirm good tolerance of the device from the infants, and no false positive alarms were registered during the different periods of use."
