The Tomy Walkabout Platinum Digital Baby Monitor is a fully digital baby monitor that uses DECT technology with 120 channels for interference free operation and guaranteed privacy.
The platinum baby monitors include all the same features as the Tomy Premier Advance, while the portable parent unit has a vibrate alert which increases as baby's crying increases and a last feed timer switch. Range up to 300m in an open area.

This is a great monitor - very sensitive so you can hear a young baby breath if you need to. It has sound, light and vibrate if you wish to use it on different modes.
It also features a temp gauge which we have found very useful for checking our babies room doesn't get too hot.
However, like the previous posters the battery on the main unit, which is portable, will start to die very quickly from a full charge.
Evntually the battery has to be replaced and as off writing this the only place to get one is Tomy's website and they are out of stock.

We've been using this Walkabout Platinum Digital monitor for 2 years and have found it excellent in terms of quality of sound. We've never experienced interference at all - previously we used an analogue monitor and could listen in on the neighbours' bedtime stories! The volume control is sensitive enough so you can actually adjust the volume incrementally (with some monitors it appears to be all or nothing but this works as it should). The talk back feature is useful to speak to your child without having to go into the room (we didnt really need this until baby was about 1.5y but then it was used lots). the parent unit is easy to clip on to your jeans or similar so you can wear it when hanging out the laundry for example. The child unit has a nightlight which can be controlled from the parent unit but this is very bright and blue which proved too distracting for my children. I never really saw the point of the last feed timer as I imagine if you bottle feed you probably already know approximately what time you're planning to give the next bottle, and if you're breastfeeding then you tend to just respond in the night half asleep (in darkness)and I for one, wasn't going to switch on lights and flick buttons on the monitor to see how long it had been since the last feed. I usually just did the 'what time was I up?' analysis in the morning! I like the temperature feature though - being able to see on the parent unit how warm/cold it is in child's room is helpful to rule out at least one reason for crying without having to go in.
overall I think its an excellent monitor and would recommend it, but my one complaint is quite significant: after about a month of use, the rechargeable battery on the parent unit goes flat after about 20 minutes. I know of 2 other people who have had the same issue, so it is obviously a known failing. You can buy replacement batteries for about £14 but it's really not what you'd expect from such an expensive monitor.

We get a lot of interference with the monitor and frequently have to use on vibrate
