As far a digital baby monitors go this does the very basics, this is reflected in the low price compared to other digital audio monitiors. If all you want is to be able to hear your baby cry then personally I don't think you could beat this. The sound quality is amazing, zero interference which is why I choose it over some more expensive models which had other snazzy features. I am very impressed!
