Q. How do I connect additional Cameras?

A. On the Monitor Unit using the Menu button access Settings then select Pairing at the same time press the pairing button on the camera

Q. Can the Camera use batteries?

A. Yes for short term use. Use 4 x AA type batteries or customers can purchase an optional rechargeable battery pack Part number SEA-B100EX.

NOTE only the optional rechargeable pack can be used not standard rechargeable AA type. As the optional pack uses a separate internal connection to charge

Q. How do I use the unit with Skype?

A. First ensure Skype is installed on the PC.

Next insert the CD that came with the kit and load the USB driver. If using a Mac then a driver can be downloaded from the SamsungSecurity Website. When the USB driver has been installed connect the monitor to the PC using the included USB cable.
Now Start Skype.
In the Skype window at the top select Tools then Options.
Next select Video settings, then using the drop down box select Wireless Monitoring System.
You should now see an image from the wireless camera. Click save to keep this setting

We recommend that you setup a separate Skype account for the Samsung Baby Monitor SEW-3030 so that when you are away from home and wish to view the SEW-3030 you simply log on to Skype with your normal Skype account and call the camera account to view. Also the auto answer box should be ticked in calls> call settings> advanced on the PC with the SEW-3030 attached

Please Note that only camera viewed is supported not sound

Also if using multiple cameras only 1 camera can be viewed this is manual selected on the monitor unit

Generally a great product, excellent image and sound quality, portability is great (good range through house-walls), battery life of rechargable screen unit is good (about 5hrs on average with a full charge), we use it every day and it's among top 5 things we've bought for the baby.

One major drawback: the thermomitor is wildly innacurate; by up to 9 degrees sometimes and gets worse with higher temperatures (have tested against several other thermomitors), could be a fault so interested in others' experience. Unnacceptable given the possible cot-death danger associated with overly high temperatures we parents are all trying to monitor.

Some minor drawbacks: the camera chews through batteries at an alarming rate, we've tried it twice and used up brand new set of batteries each time in less than 40mins. Not much use without the AC power cord. You also can't turn the beep off when you push a button and that's very very annoying at night when you're trying not to disturb baby or partner...I also had the same trouble as others with the software: despite installing it on a PC the unit isn't recognised when hooked up with the USB. Running Windows 7, Vista or 2000 (tried all).

Apart from the thermomitor issue, I'd highly recommend this product, although if you're worried about careful temp monitoring, sady I would not rely on this alone (at least in my experience).

The product itself works great. However, the software it comes with apparently only supports Windows??? Not Mac??? And there is no listing anywhere for this product on any samsung website. So finding the software support is basically non existent. I'm going to try the email in the last review. So far that is the only support I've seen. Like the other review said, that was one of the main reasons I purchased the system.

well the camera and monitor are brilliant however i have had a nightmare trying to connect to computer so i can use with skype, i probably wouldnt be that bothered but that was the main reason for buying this monitor over the other ones, becasue it had this feature. after i install the sofware from the cd, and then connect the monitor to the computer with the usb cable provided, it tells me that its an unknown device and and it wont add the hardware, hence i cant use skype with it, can anyone help me with this please?

Great product, great quality, huge range of accessories (night light, lullabies, zoom, remote control camera-control, thermometer). We would definitely recommend it. Our daughter suffers from seizures and this camera gives so much piece of mind.
